Overall, 1270 patients diagnosed with acute or lymphoma types ATL were registered. Of these, 20 patients were excluded. A total of 395 patients diagnosed with chronic or smoldering types were registered, and 51 patients were excluded. Finally, 895, 355, 187, and 157 patients were diagnosed with acute, lymphoma, chronic, and smoldering types, respectively.
