Patients with t(8;21), inv(16), or t(16;16) are considered to be provisional LR regardless of other genetic alterations. Patients with NPM1 mutations or biallelic CEBPA mutations are provisional LR, except in the presence of FLT3-ITD. Provisional LR patients are moved to the intermediate-risk group if they are MRD-positive after one course of induction therapy.
