The figure displays the cumulative prevalence of SCIs in children with SCA based on 4 cross-sectional studies^21,23-25  and 1 longitudinal study.²²  The cumulative prevalence of SCIs strongly suggests that the incidence rates of SCIs dose not plateau up to 18 years of age.
