IL-1 receptor antagonist inhibits the induction of adhesion molecules on HUVECs by MPs. HUVECs were preincubated with the indicated amounts of the IL-1R antagonist (Kineret) for 30 minutes before a 4-hour incubation with 100 μg/mL of MPs from LPS-treated THP-1 cells in serum-free conditions.
