Surgical resection followed by chemotherapy produced significantly longer OS (A) and PFS (D) than chemotherapy alone. In patients treated with primary surgical resection for localized disease, the postoperative chemotherapy regimen, CHOP or R-CHOP, did not significantly affect OS (B) or PFS (E). In patients treated with chemotherapy alone, OS (C) and PFS (F) did not differ between patients treated with CHOP or R-CHOP.
