Induction of Th17 T cells is TGF-β and IL-6 dependent. CD4⁺ T cells were CD3/CD28/CD2-stimulated and cocultured with CD14⁺HLA-DR⁺ monocytes for 6 days. As indicated, blocking antibodies were added to the cocultures. Induction of Th17 T cells was measured by ICS FACS analysis gating on CD4⁺ T cells.
