Figure 3. Early inhibition of proinflammatory cytokine production by rsTreg. [BALB/c × C57BL/6]F1 recipient mice were lethally irradiated and then grafted with 3 × 106 CD3ε−/− BM cells and 3 × 106 allogeneic Ly5.1+ C57BL/6 T cells alone (Tallo ▵) or with 3 × 106 specific rsTreg (Tallo+rsTreg ▴). Cytokine production was quantified after ex vivo restimulation with PMA/ionomycin. The percentage of Ly5.1+ CD4+ T cells that produce IL-2, TNF, and IFNγ was evaluated in the spleen 7, 15, and 60 days after transplantation. Cytokine profiles at day 30 (not shown) were comparable with day 15. Each symbol represents an individual mouse and bars are the mean.
