The CCR6 DMR mediates transcriptional activity. Activated CCR6⁺ and CCR6⁻ CD45RA⁻CD4⁺ memory T cells were transfected with control plasmid (pCpGL-EF1 promoter) or pCpGL-EF1-CCR6-DMR, where the extended DMR was cloned into the pCpGL-EF1 promoter plasmid. The relative luciferase light units were normalized to Renilla luciferase activity. Values for the pCpGL-EF1-promoter plasmid were set to 1 to obtain the x-fold activation.
