Phenotypic analysis of MAGE-specific CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ responses in patients with MM and MGUS. PBMCs from patients with paraproteinemia were stimulated with MAGE peptides and IFN-γ–responsive cells were counterstained with CD45RA and CCR7. The phenotype of the MAGE-A1_289-298–specific CD8⁺ T-cell response in MM patient 7 is shown in panel A and is a representative plot; 4 other patients all demonstrated the same phenotype.
