Plasma protein profiles. Plasma protein levels were analyzed from samples collected at the time of IPS diagnosis (IPS-Dx) and pre-BMT (IPS-Pre Dx), and also from samples collected between days 14 and 21 from allogeneic HCT recipients without complications (Cont HCT) and from healthy persons not receiving transplants (Cont NL) as described in “Patient controls.” Levels of several inflammatory proteins are elevated at the time of IPS.
