Nifuroxazide reduces the expression of Mcl-1. (A) U266 cells were treated with 10 μM nifuroxazide for 24 hours, and Mcl-1 mRNA expression was quantitated by quantitative reverse-transcription (RT)–PCR, using HPRT as an invariant control. (B) U266 and INA6 cells were treated with 10 μM nifuroxazide for the indicated times, and Western blot analysis was performed using antibodies to Mcl-1 or β-actin, which served as a loading control.
