Unstimulated or RGDS-treated washed platelets were allowed to adhere to immobilized collagen type III–coated coverslips for 60 minutes. After fixation and permeabilization, cells were incubated with phalloidin–Texas Red (200 nM) to stain actin and AK-7 (5 μg/mL), followed by a 1:50 dilution of rabbit anti–mouse IgG–FITC, to stain α2β1 or IAC-1–FITC (10 μg/mL) to stain activated α2β1.
