IL-3–activated pDCs are recognized and lysed by NK cells through the NKp30 and DNAM-1 triggering receptors. pDCs were cultured for 48 hours in the presence of rhIL-3 and then assessed for their susceptibility to lysis by allogeneic activated polyclonally NK cells in a ⁵¹Cr-release assay, either in the absence or in the presence of the mAbs to the indicated molecules. The E/T ratio was 20:1. Each value represents the mean of triplicate experiments. The SD did not exceed 5%. One representative experiment of 10 performed is shown.
