Figure 2. Inhibition of NF-κB-regulated antiapoptosis gene expression in EBV- and KSHV-infected lymphoma cells. Total RNA (5 μg) was isolated from BC-3 and EBV-IBL cells treated with and without 5 μM Bay 11-7082 for 6 hours and subsequently was labeled and hybridized to Affymetrix UA95v2 probe arrays. Data analysis was performed with Genespring software based on results of 3 independent experiments. Genes with greater than 2-fold change in both cell types are shown. In both cell types, treatment with Bay 11 resulted in more than 2-fold down-regulation of IL-6, cIAP-2, A20, and IκBα.
