Plasma cytokine levels following thermal injury in platelet-depleted mice. Anticoagulated whole blood was collected by cardiac puncture and plasma was prepared. Circulating levels of plasma TNFα (A), IL-6 (B), MCP-1 (C), and TGFβ₁ (D) were determined at the times listed for the groups CTL-Ig Sham (n = 23; open bars), CTL-Ig Burn (n = 29; dark gray bars), αPLT-Ig Sham (n = 23; light gray bars), and PLT-Ig Burn (n = 93; filled bars).
