MelanA/MART1-specific, HLA-A2-restricted CD8+ T cells secrete significant amounts of IFN-γ (x-axis; pg/mL) when challenged with T2 cells in the presence of the specific synthetic epitope (residues 27-35) or when challenged with HLA-A2+ (but not with HLA-A2- melanoma cell lines expressing the native antigen).
