Parental CHO cells are not susceptible to infection by MV-Edm and MV-αCD38. CHO cells stably expressing CD38 receptor enable the recombinant virus, but not MV-Edm, to enter and spread within the culture, resulting in 5.5 × 106 syncytial-forming units/mL virus.
