The number of splenic DCs is reduced in LTα^−/−, LTβ^−/−, and TNF/LTα/LTβ^−/− mice, but normal in TNF^−/− and TNFRp55^−/− mice.

Spleens were taken from indicated strains of naive mice and homogenized after collagenase and DNAase treatment. Cells were stained with FITC-conjugated anti–I-A^b mAb and PE-conjugated anti-CD11c mAb. The percent of events in the oval area of each dot plot is indicated. Data from 1 of 4 representative experiments are shown.
