Death of cytoplasts.

Cytoplasts cultured overnight without additions or with 20 ng/mL TNF-α, with 150 μM zVAD-fmk, or with the combination of these agents were stained with annexin-V–FITC and were analyzed by FACScan. Cytoplasts with annexin-V staining were counted as dead cytoplasts (bottom right quadrant of each plot). *P < .05 versus No stimulus and TNF-α.
