Fraction of RBCs expressing γ-globin following bone marrow transduction and transplantation.

Marrow was transduced with the indicated vectors and was used to transplant myeloablated syngeneic recipients. At the indicated months after transplantation, blood samples were collected and the percentage of RBCs expressing human γ-globin was determined by immunofluorescence staining and flow cytometry. Only those mice with detectable provirus at the time of death were included in the analysis. Data are for individual animals. For each vector, mice are from 3 independent experiments.
