Characterization of the interaction between CRP and VLDL.

Recombinant CRP and normal plasma VLDL were mixed at various concentrations in buffer (A) and lipoprotein-deficient plasma (B). Maximum turbidity changes were then recorded after adding Ca⁺⁺. VLDL concentrations (measured as cholesterol) were 0.030 mM (▪), 0.065 mM (▴), 0.100 mM (♦), and 0.150 mM (●).
