Control dishes were coated with BSA. Gel-filtered platelets (1 × 108 platelets) were added to the dishes and incubated for 90 minutes at room temperature. Nonadherent cells were removed, and the percentage of adherent platelets was determined by a colorimetric assay as described in “Materials and methods.” Results are the means ± SD of 3 to 8 experiments.
