Nonstressed and stressed apoptotic 12B1-D1 cells are taken up by DCs.

DC and 12B1-D1 cells were stained with PKH 26 and PKH 67, respectively. PKH 67-stained nonstressed or heat-stressed 12B1-D1 cells were then treated with AP20187 for 6 hours to induce apoptosis. DCs were cocultured with nonstressed or stressed apoptotic cells for 18 hours and then examined by (A) flow cytometry or (B) confocal laser microscopy. Original magnification × 63, oil objective.
