Arthrogryposis (persistent joint contractures), renal dysfunction, and cholestasis (ARC) syndrome is a very rare multisystem disorder. The degeneration of the anterior motor neuron cells causes multiple joint contractures, muscle weakness, and fibrosis. Decreased alpha granule proteins in ARC syndrome leads to platelet aggregation defects and bleeding tendency.
