Cytokine secretion profiles after IVIg treatment. Effect of IVIg treatment on (A) IL-10, (B) TGF-β, and (C) IFN-γ secretion was studied. Mice that received PBS or IVIg were killed at day 10 (n = 4 per group), and spleens were harvested. Single-cell suspensions from the spleen were cultured in triplicates alone, in the presence of 5 μg/mL of MOG_35-55, or 1 μg/mL of ConA. Supernatants were collected after 24 hours, and cytokines were measured in sandwich ELISA. Results (means ± SD) of 1 experiment of 2 are shown (*P ≤ .05).
