Dynamics of global DNA methylation with 5-AZA therapy. Global DNA methylation was measured using the LINE bisulfite pyrosequencing assay.¹⁶  It was measured pretreatment and on days 2, 7, and 21 of the first course and prior to initiation of the second course. There was a significant difference in terms of DNA methylation comparing day 0 with day 7. No differences were observed between responders and nonresponders. C indicates course; D, day.
