After the intravenous infusion of 1 × 107 karpas299 cells, the mice began to die around 4 weeks, and all of the karpas299-bearing mice succumbed to the lymphoma within 2 months. The body weight decreased, with a few exceptions in animals that developed big subcutaneous tumors, and serum sIL-2Rα and β2μ concentrations increased as the disease progressed in the mice. The sIL-2Rα reached levels of 25 000 to 300 000 pg/mL, and β2μ reached levels of 1 to 10 ng/mL immediately before death.
