This systematic review of the efficacy and safety of DOACs compared with VKAs in patients with tAPS retrieved four existing RCTs with a total of 474 patients. The authors found that among patients with tAPS, treatment with DOACs compared with VKAs is associated with an increase in the odds of arterial thrombotic events, whereas the odds of VTE and major bleeding are not significantly different between the two groups.
