The study of Fransen van de Putte (2012)¹⁸ was excluded from the analysis because of overlap in the catchment area and population with the studies from Rosendaal et al (1989),⁴⁴ Triemstra et al (1995),⁴⁶ and Plug et al (2006).⁴⁵ The study by Darby et al (2007)¹⁴ (HIV⁻) was excluded from the analysis because of overlap in the catchment area and population with the studies by Rizza and Spooner (1983)⁶¹ and Rizza et al (2001)⁶² (including HIV⁺ and HIV⁻ patients). The results from the complete follow-up period (retrospective and prospective follow-up) from Zanon et al (2012)¹⁹ were used in this analysis because fatal events were not described for the prospective follow-up period only. The studies by Andersson et al (2017),³ Traivaree et al (2007),²³ Hu et al (2018),²³ and Poonnoose et al (2017)⁶⁹ did not include neonatal ICH.
