To ensure the quality of the assays used in this study, we determined the interassay variability. For all assays, we performed 10 runs on duplicate samples on different days. The interassay coefficient of variation (CV) is then calculated as follows: (standard deviation of the means of all 10 duplicates/mean of all 10 duplicates) × 100 = % CV.
