There was no significant difference between normal and DBA cultures at the end of phase 1 (Epo-free), with respect to cell number, cell viability, and the proportion of cells expressing CD71 and EpoR by FACS. Phase 1 indicates liquid culture with serum and recombinant IL-3/.SCF (no dexamethasone).
