A indicates before treatment; B, after treatment.

Epidermal involvement: 0 indicates no epidermal involvement; 1, vacuolar changes of basal keratinocytes; 2, dyskeratotic cells in the epidermis.

Infiltrate: 0 indicates no lymphocytic infiltrate in the upper dermis; 1, mild lymphocytic infiltrate in the upper dermis; 2, moderate lymphocytic infiltrate in the upper dermis; 3, severe lymphocytic infiltrate in the upper dermis.

Macrophages: 0 indicates almost no macrophages (superficial or deep); 1, mild amount of macrophages (superficial or deep); 2, moderate amount of macrophages (superficial or deep).

Dermal sclerosis: 0 indicates normal collagen bundles; 1, thickened, compact collagen (mild); 2, thickened, compact collagen (moderate); 3, thickened, compact collagen (severe).
