The figures were taken from the analyses presented in Figures 2, 3, 4 and are depicted as mean ± SEM. The tmax decay indicates the time required to reach the lowest steady level for a given parameter; t1/2, the decay time to reach the half-maximum change; SI, total serum iron; Tf sat. %, percent transferrin saturation; and NA, nonapplicable.
