BMNCs from wild-type mice were allowed to adhere to immobilized fucoidan for 30 minutes. Bound cells were detached with trypsin/EDTA and stained with the antibodies TER119, B220, and M1/70 to stain for cells of the erythroid, lymphoid, and myeloid lineages, respectively. Input BMNCs used for the experiment were also stained for comparison. Data are expressed as mean percentages ± SEM from 3 to 5 mice in 3 independent experiments. Note that only the myeloid population is significantly enriched in the bound population while the erythroid population is depleted.
