Spleen colonies were counted from 5 mice (per group, per experiment). Pre-CFU-s activity is determined by the following formula: [(No. of secondary CFU-s/number of cells transplanted into the secondary recipient) × no. of BMCs per femur in the primary recipient after 12 days]/no. of cells transplanted into the primary recipient. These results are representative of 3 experiments.
