Patients were considered to have complete response (CR) if their platelet counts increased to more than 150 × 109/L during or after therapy. Patients were considered to have partial response (PR) if their platelet counts increased to 50 × 109/L or higher but lower than 150 × 109/L at, during, or after therapy. Patients were considered to have no response (NR) if the platelet count remained lower than 50 × 109/L during or after therapy.
