Sera from 7 patients was analyzed using CHOαβ and CHOβIX cells to assess binding to the individual components of the GPIb-IX complex. Both flow cytometry and the MAIPA assay were used. Negative controls were AB type sera, isotype-matched IgG, and patient sera in the absence of quinine. The results were expressed in positive (+) or negative (-).
