SCF-induced effects on co-stimulation of BFU-E and CFU-GM in Slug−/− mice

Murine BM cells from Slug+/+ and −/− mice were cultured in semisolid media in the presence of a combination of growth factors. Cytokines were used at the following concentrations: EPO, 2 U/mL; SCF, 100 ng/mL; GM-CSF, 10 ng/mL. Values are mean ± SEM of triplicate experiments. Differences between Slug+/+ and −/− were statistically significant (P < .0001), as determined by Mann-WhitneyU test.
