Haploidentical, recipient age < 20, no growth factor use, and low-risk disease were all assigned a relative risk of 1 and served as the reference groups.

Donor age, gender, gender match, disease type, type of antibody used for T-cell depletion, CD34 cell dose, and donor/recipient CMV status were additional variables that were analyzed but were not significant for any outcomes. CD34 cell dose was analyzed as a categorical variable using the following groupings: < 2 × 106, 2-5 × 106, > 5 × 106, and unknown.
