The c-Kit+c-Fms+RANK− cells were clone-sorted and cultured in the presence of M-CSF, sRANKL, and GM-CSF for 6 days and stained with TRAP. Cell growth was observed in 39 or 35 wells per 96 wells (40.6% and 36.5%, respectively). The number of wells containing both TRAP-positive and TRAP-negative cells (mixed) and only TRAP-positive (positive) or TRAP-negative (negative) cells was scored.
