Whole blood was incubated with FITC-CD35, PE-CD11b, or FITC-CD18 antibodies at 4°C for 30 minutes either after maintaining the samples at 4°C or after incubation with PBS, or fMLP (10−6mol/L) at 37°C for 5 minutes. Mean fluorescence intensity was recorded as described in “Patients, materials, and methods.” Values obtained with an irrelevant antibody of the same isotype were subtracted. The CD35 and CD18 values of the day controls are in the range of other 6 healthy controls. For CD11b, the values are means ± SEM of 15 healthy controls.
