Human CD34+ cells were sorted (as described in Figure 8) from the BM of NOD-SCID mice that had been transplanted with freshly isolated CD34+ BM cells 5 days earlier, and subsequently treated intravenously with PBS or 5 μg rhTNF 24, 64, and 96 hours after transplantation. The 200 sorted CD34+ cells were evaluated for 6-week LTC-CFC activity. Results are from 2 independent experiments and are presented as mean values of triplicates (Exp 1) and duplicates (Exp 2) determinations.
