Cells were not treated or were treated with 10−4 M (for 2 hours) nicotine or cotinine. Expression of adhesion molecules was evaluated by FACS and expressed as means ± SD of the percentage of the gated cell population/mean fluorescence intensity. Data from 2 to 5 independent experiments are presented.
