Fetal liver cells were collected from E14.5 and E16.5 embryos and stored on ice for 24 to 48 hours. The percentage of viable E16.5 fetal liver cells obtained from PDGF-B+/+ embryos (n = 3) and PDGF-B−/− mutants (n = 5) after 48 hours of storage was 75.0% ± 1.6% and 75.6% ± 1.1%, respectively. Viability of PDGFRβ+/+ and PDGFRβ−/−fetal liver cells was 80.6% (pool of 4 livers) and 81.9% (pool of 4 livers), respectively.
P = .0003;
P< .0001;
P = .002; n = 6 for all groups.
