Mutations in the mouse Epo promoter and 3′ enhancer are shown in Figure 3A. The mouse Epo promoter (144 bp from −122 to +22) and 3′ enhancer (51 bp from +3838 to +3888) were ligated upstream and downstream of the luciferase gene, respectively (mP and mE in the top of Figure 3B).
