The number of monocytes present after 2 days in cultures containing 10% FCS IMDM and 10 ng/mL M-CSF in the presence of 1 μg/mL Deltaext-myc or control. Tissue culture wells were coated with anti-myc antibody, 9E10 F(ab′)2 to attach the myc-containing Deltaext-myc construct to the plastic surface. The 5-10 × 103 monocytes from different individuals were added to each well and, after 2 days, cells were collected and counted.
