Purified T cells from healthy blood donors were seeded at 2 × 105 cells/well and stimulated for 24 hours with EBV or mock-virus preparations (1:20 vol/vol), followed by the addition of 5 μg/mL anti-CD95 IgM MoAb CH-11. Cells were cultured for an additional 24 hours, after which the anti-CD3 MoAb OKT3 (1:200) and/or IL-2 (50 U/mL) was added. Cells were cultured for an additional 72 hours. During the final 18 hours, cells were pulsed with [3H]-thymidine (1 μCi/well). Results are expressed as the mean ± SD from triplicate wells.
