B6-CD45.1 mice were lethally irradiated and administered congenic B6-CD45.2 BM as described in Materials and Methods. Mice were administered irrelevant MoAb or αCD2 + 48 MoAb according to the schedule listed in Table 1. At the indicated times post-BMT, three mice per group were individually analyzed for the absolute number of cells present in the BM compartment. Flow cytometric analysis was performed to determine the absolute number of donor (CD45.2+) cells, CD4+, CD8+, B220+, or Mac1+ cells present in each compartment. The absolute number of CD48neg, CD48low, CD48med, and CD48hi cells is listed. A representative example of the flow cytometry for CD48 expression is shown in Fig 3A. Values expressed are the mean values × 10−6. The numbers in parenthesis are 1 SEM.
