Methylation status was analyzed by PCR (Fig 6) and represented as % valued in parenthesis. Hypo and hyper indicate hypomethylation and hypermethylation status defined as described in Results, respectively.
MDR1 expression was determined as described in the legend to Fig 4. Negative means <3.0, and positive means >3.0.
