*Spleens were obtained from BDF1 mice with no transplant or from BDF1 recipients of CD28+/+ or CD28−/− donor cells 15 days after transplantation. Splenocytes were stained as shown in Fig 1. The values listed are absolute number of T or B cells (×10−6) (mean ± SE) per spleen, and represent the results of three mice per group.
